What sound rating do FutureWall™ partitions achieve?

Depending on the type of panel material used and the density of acoustic infill, a typical particleboard FutureWall™ partition can achieve STC ratings of 39 to 42. By de-coupling studs and detailing for acoustic performance, much higher ratings can be achieved. In addition, traditional acoustic baffling methodologies can be applied above ceiling height if required.

What sound rating do FutureWall™ doors achieve?

Depending on the type of seals utilised, FutureWall™ doors have been laboratory tested to 33Rw with subsequent on-site testing for the same configuration achieving 31Rw.

What ceiling height can FutureWall™ achieve?

The FutureWall™ System is designed for a typical office floor to ceiling height of 2700mm, installations of up to 3600mm can be accommodated with special structural design.

Does FutureWall™ have a fire rating?

In most office partition applications, fire rating is not required.  The FutureWall™ System is not fire rated.

What is the durability of the panels?

Panel durability is dependent on the material used and the environment in which the partition is constructed, i.e. climate, pollution, etc. Accordingly panel material selection should take into consideration these variables.

Can the panels be reused?

The non-destructive and simple method of panel attachment and removal allows for the re-use of panels.

What are the limitations of reuse?

Subject to panel wear and tear and typical design consideration, panels can be reused on similar modules, although panel width and height can be reduced to use.

How does cost compare against other systems?

Against comparable demountable/relocatable partition systems, The FutureWall™ System is significantly more cost effective particularly as the quality of finish increases. Against a traditional vinyl wall-paper lined drywall fit-out with glazing and doors, The FutureWall™ System is comparable in cost.

How does the system accommodate earthquake requirements?

Like any type of partitioning system, the FutureWall™ System uses its stud and track framing and connections to the floor and ceiling to provide lateral stability against earthquake loading.
